Inspiration is a funny thing…at the moment I’m finding it in all sorts of unusual places. A news article about an unfortunate climber’s death on Mt Cook led me to an afternoon of researching the hugely inspiring life of Sir Edmund Hillary, which left a burning desire to conquer my metaphorical and physical mountains. Watching a lovely friend of mine go through the process of releasing a stunning ebook gave me some serious GIRL POWER vibes – proving that I really can go out there and achieve everything I ever dreamed of! Meanwhile, hearing the news about a family members poor health serves as a reminder that life is short, and acts as inspiration to go out there and do the things I want to do before it’s too late.
So now I’m setting the wheels in motion on a few aspects of life, as well as putting some ideas together for future endeavours. There’s a sewing machine in my living room, savings in my ‘Japan Splitboard Mission’ account, I’m having productive days, and forward thinking conversations with the important people in my life, as well as managing to stop and appreciate the small things that make life so sweet. Here’s hoping that I can continue to take some inspiration / direction from the goings-on in the world around me, so that I can strive further and conquer all of my mountains!
